Organization profile: The Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) Zurich (ETH) is a world-class research university, founded by the Swiss government in 1854. It is part of the ETH domain, which consists of the of the two federal universities in Zurich (ETH) and Lausanne (EPFL), as well four national research institutes. The Communication Systems Group (CSG) at the Computer Engineering and Networks Laboratory (TIK) conducts cutting-edge research in wireless and mobile networking, network measurement, and network security. It is the CSG that will participate in the mPlane project. CSG is well connected with other research laboratories and leading industry players, and has a long record of successful participation in Swiss national and European research projects, including FP6-INTERSECTION, FP7-OFELIA, and FP7-DEMONS.
